Computer Project for Special Needs (PM)

Saturday, March 16    12:30 - 15:00

In this project, volunteers will assist young adults and children with special needs in learning a variety of fun and practical computer skills. The course has been specially designed for persons with special needs and is a great opportunity to interact closely with the special needs community in a unique and fun way!

Meeting time: 12:30 pm
Activity time: 12:30 pm – 15:00 pm

Meeting location:
Can Heart Computer School (bottom of the stairs)
1 minute from Oyamadai Station (Oimachi Line)

Venue: Setagaya-Ku, Oyamadai 3-22-8
Frontier Mansion 2A

Event Guidelines: You must be over 18 years old. You also need to have some basic Japanese skills to communicate with the participants.

In this project, you will hold conversations in English with high students to recent graduates with visual impairment. In order to enhance their English conversational skills and knowledge of other countries, we will discuss on a variety of fun topics. (Students from the Blind Tennis Project are participating!)

Location: Bunkyou Kumin Center
Guidelines: Volunteers must be at least 15 years old and be able to speak conversational Japanese. (JLPT 4 or above)

Dance Volunteer Project - AM

Saturday, March 16    10:00 - 11:30

In this project, volunteers will practice dancing with children who have special needs, from the Dance Laboratory and Futaba Association. You will be supporting them in their efforts to dance and having a fun time.

Meeting time: 10:00
Activity time: 10:00 – 11:30

Meeting Location/Venue: Setagaya-ku (Sogo Fukushi) Health Center 3F training room, 6-41-7 Matsubara, Setagaya-ku

Clothes:
- Please wear comfortable and appropriate clothing.
- Please refrain from wearing rings and necklaces with big stones and nail extensions, to ensure the safety of the children.
- Please refrain from wearing strong perfume, as some children may be sensitive to smells.

Hakujuso Senior Home (3)

In this project, you will work with senior citizens living at Hakujuso Senior Home, providing a fun and interesting experience for the senior residents through interaction with volunteers of all ages and nationalities.

Location: Hakujuso Senior Home (it's located inside of the Airinkai, Social Welfare Service Corporation)

What to bring: Slippers to wear inside the Senior home.
