Tango Therapy Project (Higashikoganei)

Thursday, June 13    14:00 - 15:30

Tango will be taught by instructors at the elderly care center. They will support the elderly during the dance as to avoid any accidents. The dance will be very simple and easy. It will be a good activity to move along with music!

Meeting Place: JR Higashikoganei Station Station, Main Gate

Activity Location: Granda Higashikoganei (2-12-24 Kajinocho, Koganei, Tokyo)

Event Guidelines: Families and children of all ages welcome! Basic Japanese skills desirable (left, right, stop, let's take a break etc.).

What to bring: It is important to bring shoes that are stable and comfortable. Heels or platforms will not be allowed.

What to wear: Comfortable clothes that are clean and easy to move around in.

Escort Children with Special Needs Project (2)

Thursday, June 13    11:45 - 13:15

The children from Aiiku Yogo School (a private special needs school) go to a pool in Hamamatsucho. We would like to ask you to help transport the children to swimming venue. When escorting them, please be aware of car traffic, bicycles, distracted pedestrians, as the children have a tendency to run off quickly. Throughout the duration of the project, please engage and talk to the children. Please also help the school staff carry the children’s bags.

*A one way bus fare to the venue will be paid for by school.

Event Guidelines: You must be over 18 years old and have a enough energy to keep up with the children and carry bags. You need to some Japanese skills to communicate with children; for example “Please stop here“ or “The weather is nice“ etc.

What to wear/bring:
- Drink, towel
- Wear comfortable casual clothes that are easy to move around in. Make sure they are not too revealing.
