Arisu no Mori Smile Project (2)

Wednesday, June 19    13:45 - 15:00

In this project volunteers will be playing, singing, and going to the park with the seniors. Hand massage will be performed if time allows. Guest performers will also be invited. All the residents have Alzheimer (from slight to severe).

Location:Arisu no Mori Minami Azabu
(Minato-ku Minami-azabu 4-6-1)

Meeting Place:Arisu no Mori Minami-azabu, South Tower 2F Elevator Hall

Families and children of all ages welcome!

*We will be working indoors so please bring slippers or indoor shoes.

*What to wear:
Please wear comfortable casual clothes that are easy to move around in. Make sure they are not too revealing. If the weather is fine on that day, we will all go together to the park. Please wear comfortable shoes with no heels.

Tango Therapy Project (Urawa)

Wednesday, June 19    13:30 - 15:00

Tango will be taught by instructors at the elderly care center. They will support the elderly during the dance as to avoid any accidents. The dance will be very simple and easy. It will be a good activity to move along with music!

Meeting Place: Main gate of Urawa station (JR Line)

Event Guidelines: Families and children of all ages welcome! Basic Japanese skills desirable (left, right, stop, let's take a break etc.).

What to bring: It is important to bring shoes that are stable and comfortable. Heels or platforms will not be allowed.

What to wear: Comfortable clothes that are clean and easy to move around in.

*Argentinean tango works as a strong therapy for people that suffer from depression and elderly that look for an enjoyable activity for exercise. The tango therapy webpage can be found using the following link: http://tangotherapy.wix.com/japan
