FUN WITH ART AT SHINAGAWA KEITOKU GAKUEN

In this project, you will work together with Naoya-san, an experienced art teacher, you will help support the children as they draw pictures and make various crafts.

Meeting Place: Hatanodai, South Exit (Tokyu Oimachi Line / Ikegami Line)

You must arrive on time! Please ensure you leave your home with enough time to spare

Event Guidelines: Volunters must be at least 16 years old.

What to wear: Wear clothes that are not too revealing and you do not mind getting dirty. Please do not wear any rings or necklaces as these can possibly injure the children. Please also ensure that your nails are trimmed and not too long. Some of the children are sensitive to strong smells, so please refrain from wearing strong deodorant or perfume. Do not wear any piercings.

What to bring: Indoor shoes, Drink

Tango Therapy Project (Meguro) 2

* This project has been canceled.

Tango will be taught by instructors at the elderly care center. They will support the elderly during the dance as to avoid any accidents. The dance will be very simple and easy. It will be a good activity to move along with music!

Meeting Place:in front of a sign of MUFG Bank near JR Line Meguro Station

Activity Location:SOMPO Care Shimo-Meguro Day Service (3-5-16 Shimo-Meguro, Meguro-ku, Tokyo)

Event Guidelines: Families and children of all ages welcome! Basic Japanese skills desirable (left, right, stop, let's take a break etc.).

What to bring: It is important to bring shoes that are stable and comfortable. Heels or platforms will not be allowed.

What to wear: Comfortable clothes that are clean and easy to move around in.

Seicho Special Support School - PC

The Seicho Support School is a school for mentally challenged students, who have graduated from junior high-schools in the Setagaya Ward. In this project, volunteers will assist pupils with special needs in learning a variety of fun and practical computer skills. The course has been specially designed for persons with special needs and is a great opportunity to interact closely with the special needs community in a unique and fun way!

Event Guidelines: You must be over 18 years old and have enough energy to keep up with the teen-participants. Basic Japanese communication skills are required, like “Please click here” or “Let's enter” etc.

What to wear/bring:
- Please wear comfortable and appropriate clothing. Overexposure had arisen concerns in the past.
- Please refrain from wearing earrings, rings and necklaces with big stones and nail extensions, to ensure the safety of the children.
- Please refrain from wearing strong perfume, as some children may be sensitive to smells.

*Each student has its own characteristics (difficult to hear, difficult to speak etc.) Please check to the notice of the student you will be in charge from the volunteer leader.
