Seicho Special Support School - PC

The Seicho Support School is a school for mentally challenged students, who have graduated from junior high-schools in the Setagaya Ward. In this project, volunteers will assist pupils with special needs in learning a variety of fun and practical computer skills. The course has been specially designed for persons with special needs and is a great opportunity to interact closely with the special needs community in a unique and fun way!

Event Guidelines: You must be over 18 years old and have enough energy to keep up with the teen-participants. Basic Japanese communication skills are required, like “Please click here” or “Let's enter” etc.

What to wear/bring:
- Please wear comfortable and appropriate clothing. Overexposure had arisen concerns in the past.
- Please refrain from wearing earrings, rings and necklaces with big stones and nail extensions, to ensure the safety of the children.
- Please refrain from wearing strong perfume, as some children may be sensitive to smells.

*Each student has its own characteristics (difficult to hear, difficult to speak etc.) Please check to the notice of the student you will be in charge from the volunteer leader.

**To Cancel:
This is a very special activity that requires full commitment from volunteers, as plans are made around the volunteers who are attending. Please keep this in mind when you are signing up for this project, and avoid cancellation at all costs.

Blind Tennis (Ayase) - AM(2)

In this project, you will help junior & high school students and recent graduates with visual impairment who are members of Tokyo Miracle Stars, Blind Tennis Club. You will also help the students enjoy the game of tennis and learn the skills necessary to play the game.

Meeting Location: Ayase station (JR Line, Chiyoda Line), East exit

Time: Please meet us at Ayase station (JR Line, Chiyoda Line), East exit at 8:30 AM, and we will walk to the site together. The program is from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM.

Location: The Katsushika Blind School (the gym)
7-31-5 Horikiri, Katsushika-ku, Tokyo

Event Guidelines: Volunteers must be at least 15 years old. Experience of tennis (Beginner) is necessary.

What to bring:
* Indoor shoes to wear in the school’s gymnasium. (Shoes that have not been worn outside arepreferred. If they have been worn outside, please wipe the soles clean before you step into thegym.)
* Towel
* Beverage (no vending machines on site)
* A tennis racket will be provided

What to wear:
* Sportswear/ tennis wear. No Jeans.
* There is a locker room on site which you may use.
