Motor Development Program - Gym #4 (Yoyogi) AM(3)

In this project, you will help elementary children with intellectual disabilities (not physical) get physical exercise. You will be paired with a special needs child and assist the child to perform the physical activities which are led by Special Olympics coaches.

Though it is at 9:30 above, the actual meeting time is at 9:40. Please be aware of the time.


Location: National Olympics Memorial Youth Center
** Please gather at Gymnasium #4 (B1F) in Athletic Building.
** The closest station to the gymnasium is Sangubashi Station.

Event Guidelines: Volunteers must be at least 18 years old.

What to wear: Sportswear. No Jeans or skirts.
*There is a locker room you may use.

KoKo Club (Academy Mukougaoka)

In this project, you will hold conversations in English with junior high students to recent graduates with visual impairment. In order to enhance their English conversational skills and knowledge of other countries, we will discuss on a variety of fun topics. (Students from the Blind Tennis Project are participating!)

Meeting Place: Academy Mukougaoka

About 4-minute walk from Todaimae Station (Tokyo Metro Nanboku-Line)

Guidelines: Volunteers must be at least 15 years old. Basic conversational Japanese skills desirable.

Hakujuso Senior Home (2)

In this project, you will work with senior citizens living at Hakujuso Senior Home, providing a fun and interesting experience for the senior residents through interaction with volunteers of all ages and nationalities.

Location: Hakujuso Senior Home (it's located inside of the Airinkai, Social Welfare Service Corporation)

What to bring: Slippers to wear inside the Senior home.

Dance Volunteer Project - TRCS (3)

Saturday, November 16    10:00 - 11:30

In this project, volunteers will practice dancing with children who have special needs, from the Dance Laboratory and Futaba Association. You will be supporting them in their efforts to dance and stretch each other and having a fun time.
It is okay if you can not dance.

Meeting time: 10:00 am
Activity time: 10:00 am – 11:30 am

Clothes:
- Please wear comfortable and appropriate clothing.

- Please refrain from wearing strong perfume, as some children may be sensitive to smells.
