Seicho Special Support School - Christmas Party

The Seicho Support School is a school for mentally challenged students, who have graduated from junior high-schools in the Setagaya Ward. They will have a Christmas Party at their school. You will be supporting them and having a fun time.

Meeting time: 8:50
*It is of absolute necessity you arrive on time!!

Event Guidelines: You must be over 18 years old and understand the instructions in Japanese and can communicate to
participants.

What to wear/bring:
- Indoor shoes, non-alcoholic Beverages (water,tea etc), Towel
- Wear comfortable casual clothes that are easy to move around in. Make sure they are not too revealing.

Basketball (Beginners, Intermediate Women) - Hachimanyama(3)

Sunday, December 1    12:45 - 15:00

In this project, you will help young athletes in elementary school with intellectual disabilities (not physical) enjoy the game of basketball. You will help them practice basic basketball skills and help them understand the rules of the game. They enjoy getting a lot of encouragement and cheering while they practice.

Location: Tokyo Metropolitan Comprehensive Mental Health Center (Tokyo-toritsu Chubu Sogo Seishin Hoken Fukushi Center)
** The closest station to the gymnasium is Hachimanyama Station.

Guidelines: Volunteers must be at least 8 years old.

What to wear: Sportswear. No Jeans. (There is a locker room you may use on-site.)
Avoid long, fake nails. No accessories ( earrings, cap, watch, locker key, etc )
*These guidelines have been established in collaboration with Special Olympics Nippon. Please observe the guidelines.

Basketball (Intermediate Men) - Hachimanyama(3)

Sunday, December 1    14:45 - 17:00

In this project, you will help young men's athletes with intellectual disabilities (not physical) enjoy the game of basketball and practice intermediate/advanced basketball skills (Varsity, Junior Varsity). Many high school basketball players from international schools come to support the athletes.

Location: Tokyo Metropolitan Comprehensive Mental Health Center (Tokyo-toritsu Chubu Sogo Seishin Hoken Fukushi Center)

Event Guidelines: Volunteers must be at least 15 years old and must be able to play basketball (Varsity, Junior Varsity)
