Holiday Community Programs
Here are some of our community activities with a holiday theme.

★Motor Development Program - Holiday Special
The Special Olympics Motor Development Program (MDP) supports elementary children with intellectual disabilities (not physical) as they gradually improve their motor skills through dance, exercise and games. Volunteers are asked to work with Special Olympics coaches to help the athletes enjoy their activities.

*Saturday, December 6 will follow a special Holiday Schedule.
【What to bring】
・Indoor shoes (Shoes that have not been worn outside)
・Face towel (for the “Towel Exercise” program)
・Beverage (there are vending machines on site)
・Holiday-themed costume items
・Noise makers (such as plastic bottle maracas)

*Optional / Around 12:15～ Lunch Gathering
The lunch will be at your own expense (approximately ¥1,000).
★LIVES Food Truck Project "LIVES KITCHEN" Support
The LIVES Food Truck Project is dedicated to "work, eat, and laugh" for people with disabilities. The purpose of the LIVES Food Truck, where staff and volunteers with disabilities enjoy working together, is to convey the importance of building deep human relationships with each other, regardless of disability, and to contribute to raising social awareness to create a working and living environment that is inclusive of everyone. For the staff working here, it is also a place where they can take the next step toward employment. In this project, we would like you to help us with the LIVES Food Truck "LIVES KITCHEN". Volunteers will be asked to support the staff, serve customers, both set up and clean up for the project.
*Throughout November and December, LIVES Kitchen is featuring holiday-themed displays.

★Senior Support Project (Tango Therapy)
In this project, you will join residents at a senior care facility in doing simple exercises set to tango rhythms.Tango will be taught by instructors at the elderly care center. They will support the elderly during the dance as to avoid any accidents. The dance will be very simple and easy. It will be a good activity to move along with music!
*In December, we will be running the program in a special holiday version. If you have any holiday-themed costumes or accessories, you are more than welcome to wear them
